The Government of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) seeks a qualified individual to fill the position of Tax
Reform Project
Manager at the Department of Finance, FSM National Government.

The Position: Performs the duties of a secretariat to the ESC and Tax Reform Technical Working Group by coordinating all ESC and working group meetings; prepare and make appointment presentations to update the ESC and working group during regualr scheduled meetings; seeks input and direction from ESC and working groups; coordinate drafting of new legislation, in coordination with international assistance in regard to the URA, Net Profit Tax, Personal Income Tax, Customs duties, VAT, Sales Tax and Gross Revenue Tax; participate in public forums and other public education aspects of the project; coordinate and seek input from the private sector; liaise with the Pacific Financial Technical Assistance Center (PFTAC) on assistance they are providing to FSM in its tax reform effort; assist in presentation to Congress and the state leadership over the term of the project; secure funding from international organizations and/or governments for the various aspects of the project; meet with the states' leadership,private sector, Attorney General and the public to share information and seek assistance and input; write and disseminate press releases, give interviews and hold public forums; prepares, present and manage the annual budget of the Tax Reform Project; design, oversee and manage the implementation of the tax reform and performs other duties as assigned.

The Incumbent: Graduation from an accredited college or unviersity with a degree inEconomics, Public Administration or related field plus four (4) years of work experience in tax or related work experience. Have worked in the government in an advisory capacity.

Benefits: Annual salary of $35,000.00. Eligible for housing, life insurance, Health Insurance, travel and relocation will be provided if applicable.
