DUTIES (ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY):
Coordinate, monitor, supervise and lead the implementation of on-going environmental and sustainable development activities and responsible for the overall implementation of the related funding programs; to prepare and review of the work plan, schedule and budget and network of national institutions and experts who will undertake country studies; to supervise, coordinate and ensure that the work contracted out to national experts is integrated so that it contributes to the development of a national implementation strategy; to facilitate meetings of the country team and the exchange of information within and outside the FSM; to develop proposals for climate change adaptation nd mitigation and technical assistance from outside funding sources and write briefings for the FSM National Government officials; to incorporate climate change and sea level rise concerns, adaptation and mitigation into development plans for FSM and the four states; to research and collect essential data on climate change and sea level rise vulnerability, adaptation and mitigation options, especially in relation to terrestrial and aquatic resources; to review existing coastal zone management and environmental plans related to climate change; performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in Marine Science, Environmental Science or related field plus five (5) years of work experience in the subject matter field, one year must be in environmental sustainable projects.
