BID ANNOUNCEMENT
The Department of Health and Social Affairs is currently accepting bids from an organization for Kosrae, Pohnpei, Chuuk and Yap Coalition that will assist the implementation of all the educational and awareness activities. It is a 12 months period April 01, 2012 to March 30,2013.
Scope of Work
- Implementation, assisting, coordinating:
- Education/ Awareness:
- Coalition will assist the implementation of all the Educational and awareness activities at the schools, the communities Including putting up tobacco awareness bill boards, distribute pamphlets; Flyers, disseminating tobacco use warning thru media, assist in the Tobacco Inspection and others).
- Advocacy:
- The Tobacco Coalitions will advocate tobacco policies (with the law makers, to Introduce tobacco laws, to pass tobacco laws and to be role models).
- Collaboration establishment:
- The Tobacco coalition will develop partnerships with Department of Education, Dept. of Public Safety, Dept. of Public Health, Municipal Offices and faith Groups.
- The Tobacco Coalitions will conduct meetings, renting spaces, and other additional work that requires the coalitions to handle.
- The Tobacco Coalition will purchase all supplies and materials needed to carry out the activities.
