CONTINENTAL ANNOUNCES FOUR ADDITIONAL NONSTOP CHUUK-MANILA ROUND TRIP FLIGHTS IN 2011 MORE NON-STOP SERVICE INTRODUCED TO CONNECT FSM AND RMI WITH THE PHILIPPINES Continental operated its first non-stop service between Chuuk and Manila on December 7 this year which was well accepted by customers in both Chuuk and Manila. As a result, , Continental decided to add new non-stop service on the route for 2011, with flights scheduled to operate on March 24, April 7, June 30, and July 28, 2011 to and from Chuuk and Manila. Matt Miller, Continental’s managing director for Asia-Pacific said, “I am delighted to add four non-stop flights between Chuuk and Manila based on the success of our introductory service on the route earlier this month. We will continue to listen to customers in the region and will plan to add more services if we continue to see sufficient demand on the route. This new service is another strong example of Continental’s continued commitment to the region.” The new service continues to improve access for customers across Micronesia who travel to and from Manila, enabling passengers to avoid the need for a US visa while transiting Guam. This flight is also being offered in response to frequent requests from both the Republic of the Marshall Islands and the Federated States of Micronesia for easier travel to Manila. The flights will be flown on Continental’s Boeing 737 new generation aircraft. The new flight schedule for 2011 is as follows: 1) From FSM and RMI Islands to Manila (March 24th, April 7th, June 30th, and July 28th in 2011) The FSM and RMI flights will connect through Chuuk first, then on to Manila 2) From Manila to FSM and RMI Islands (March 24th, April 7th, June 30th, and July 28th in 2011) The Manila flights will connect through Chuuk first, then on to the FSM and RMI islands with the following flights.
