APAFS organizes Pohnpei Country Conference on Managing Trust Funds as a Fiduciary

Palikir, Pohnpei: August 24, 2010 (APAFS, Guam) – The Asia Pacific Association for Fiduciary Studies (APAFS), headquartered in Guam, a non-profit association which aims to raise the level of understanding and standards of practice among fiduciaries in the region, is hosting the 2010 Pohnpei Country Conference on Thursday, September 9, at the COM-FSM Main Campus Multi Purpose Room from 8am to 4pm.

APAFS aims to simplify the current investor environment to anyone involved in managing public and private trust funds in Pohnpei via this specially arranged Country Conference. 

This year, the Pohnpei Country Conference will focus on Managing Trust Funds as a Fiduciary.

With this, Participants will be well equipped and informed on the following:

  • Program of Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) Training and “The Prudent Process” by Philip Mendiola-Long
  • Equity Markets discussion moderated by Jason Miyashita, Morgan Stanley Smith Barney featuring Kamani Kuala’au, Atalanta Sosnoff Capital, LLC, and Mark Heath, Metropolitan West Capital Management, LLC
  • Financial Crisis on a Global Scale/Behavioral Finance by Jason Miyashita, Morgan Stanley Smith Barney

In this regard, APAFS would like to invite interested persons to attend the 2010 Pohnpei Country Conference.  Registration for the Country Conference is free, and participants will be awarded a Certificate of Completion qualifying for continuing education credits. All participants will be served a light breakfast and lunch.
